Releases environmental analysis to public comment.
The Department of the Interior announced last week that it is taking the next steps necessary to develop solar energy production plants on 4,700 acres of public land in California. The department released its environmental analysis of the project which is now open to public comments. The final project is expected to produce enough energy to power 132,000 homes.
Secretary Haaland expressed the importance of these projects saying, “Clean energy, including solar projects like these in California, will help communities across the country be part of the climate solution while creating good-paying union jobs. The Department is proud to help lead the Administration’s all-of-government approach toward its ambitious renewable energy goals, which will boost local economies and address economic and environmental injustice.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For officials of the Interior Department as they seek to preserve the creation God made.
- For the president’s administration as they work to produce cleaner energy.
- For wisdom for Secretary Haaland as she leads the Interior Department.
