Watching for Arizona forensic ballot audit results.
Several states are considering forensic audits of their 2020 election ballots. To be reviewed are possible irregularities with mail-in voting and vote machines being accessible to hackers. Delegations from Colorado, Georgia, Alaska, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Virginia toured the Arizona forensic audit site last month to view the hand counting and chain-of-custody processes. Pennsylvania Senator Doug Mastriano said at the time, “We have a lot of the same concerns and issues unresolved in Pennsylvania.”
This week, Dr. Kelli Ward, chair of the Arizona Republican Party, said preliminary results of the forensic audit show that “according to the written records, there were about 74,000 mail-in ballots that were received by the county, but there is no record that they were ever sent out.” She added, “There were also nearly 4,000 people who were shown as having voted on election day, but their registration date is after Oct. 15, 2020, which was the deadline for registering to vote.”
“Election integrity is a priority in every community across America. Many state delegates have shown interest in the audit to ensure a future with fraud-free elections as the focus,” Arizona State Representative Mark Finchem stated in June.
