The justices have accepted cases regarding abortion as well as the Second Amendment.
The Supreme Court is preparing for summer away from the bench by announcing the new caseload for the fall. They are including the biggest abortion and Second Amendment rights cases in decades. Also on the docket are a potentially significant case questioning affirmative action and another on capital punishment.
All opinions on cases heard in the last term have now been released, and the next term begins in October. Over the new few months, even on a summer break, the court is not dormant, and the justices could well release orders in any number of cases as attorneys prepare their briefs and arguments.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the Supreme Court justices as they take on speaking engagements and other activities during the summer months.
- For federal district and appeals court judges as cases get adjudicated in lower courts.
- For the Lord’s justice and righteousness to be accomplished and reflected in this nation.
