All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you. – Psalm 22:27
Psalm 22 is often referred to as the Psalm of the Cross. It is indeed a prophecy of the agony that Jesus would suffer, but it is also about the victory He achieves. It declares to you the absolute sovereignty of God and His provisions for mankind.
The world did not much care that a Man hung on a Roman cross outside of Jerusalem so many centuries ago. In the same way, the world today does not believe Jesus will be returning, nor pay attention to the prophecies that foretell His coming again. Among those who do believe, many have set up their own timetable. Christ coming again must be imminent; after all, how long will God be patient with this world?
Several years ago, the Left Behind series, co-authored by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, told of people left on Earth after Christ raptures the Church. In an interview, Jenkins said, “We believe that nothing more needs to be fulfilled before the coming of Christ. … This is not to say that God is now obligated to send Christ back tomorrow. He may, in His mercy, wait one more day—which, in His economy of time, is as a thousand years. On the other hand, it could be today.”
Are you living your life as if Christ could return at any moment? Are your eyes so fixed on Jesus that your day-to-day walk centers on Him in the here and now? In your preparation, are you sharing your hope with others? There are many in this world who have been deceived; but one day their eyes will be opened, and “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth, and under the earth” (Philippians 2:10). That time is coming! Pray for America to remember the Creator, to seek and find Jesus for themselves and know His salvation… before that time comes.

I will tell of your name to my brothers;
in the midst of the congregation I will praise you:
23 You who fear the Lord, praise him!
All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him,
and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel!
24 For he has not despised or abhorred
the affliction of the afflicted,
and he has not hidden his face from him,
but has heard, when he cried to him.
25 From you comes my praise in the great congregation;
my vows I will perform before those who fear him.
26 The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied;
those who seek him shall praise the Lord!
May your hearts live forever!
27 All the ends of the earth shall remember
and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
shall worship before you.
28 For kingship belongs to the Lord,
and he rules over the nations.
29 All the prosperous of the earth eat and worship;
before him shall bow all who go down to the dust,
even the one who could not keep himself alive.
30 Posterity shall serve him;
it shall be told of the Lord to the coming generation;
31 they shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn,
that he has done it.
