He accepted a proposal put forth by bipartisan senators.
President Joe Biden announced Thursday he has reached a bipartisan deal on an infrastructure package. A proposal had been put forward by a group of 10 Senators, including Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Rob Portman of Ohio, and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, and the president endorsed it.
“We have a deal,” the president said. “They have my word. I’ll stick with what they’ve proposed. And they’ve given their word as well. Where I come from, that’s good enough for me.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the bipartisan agreement that has been reached on infrastructure to be beneficial to the entire nation.
- For Congress as tax programs or other revenues are considered as part of paying for the infrastructure program.
