He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. – Psalm 147:3
It has been said, “a broken heart is an open heart.” Though that statement may be true, when grief and tragedy rip a gaping wound in your life, trusting God with your open and broken heart can be a challenge. Denying your hurt is not some kind of super-spiritual achievement. Acknowledging the reality of your life, especially when it hurts, is the first step in experiencing a beautiful healing, the kind God offers all who trust Him with their suffering.
The Bible tells a love story of restoration from the ravages of sin for both humankind and Earth. A redemption that is moving through time towards a perfect completion. The earth groans for renewal, and you yearn for perfection.
The book of Revelation offers a glimpse of that completed process: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. And he who was seated on the throne said, behold, I am making all things new.” (Revelation 21: 3-5).
In this world there is pain, but your strong hope is found in the knowledge that God will make all things new, and you are invited to enjoy life in His presence forever. Pray for leaders in America to seek God’s guidance, and bring healing to the hurting and wounded nation.

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
