Administration striving to meet the goal of 70% of Americans Vaccinated by July 4.
On Wednesday, President Biden announced that June would be designated a national “Month of Action” with the goal of vaccinating 70% of Americans by July 4. The president stressed the need to have a critical mass of people receive the vaccine saying, “The more people we get vaccinated, the more success we’re going to have in the fight against this virus.”
In order to persuade people to get their shot, the White House is launching a number of initiatives to assure the nation has “a summer of freedom, a summer of joy, a summer of get-togethers and celebrations. An All-American summer.” These initiatives include a public-private partnership with Anheuser-Busch promising each American over the age of 21 a free beer when the 70% threshold is met.
