June 16 meeting will take place in Geneva.
The first in-person meeting between President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place next month in Switzerland. The June 16 meeting is expected to follow President Biden’s trip to the Group of Seven summit in England and a NATO gathering in Brussels. It will be his first foreign trip as president.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said, “The leaders will discuss the full range of pressing issues, as we seek to restore predictability and stability to the U.S.-Russia relationship.” The agenda is likely to cover such topics as nuclear proliferation, climate change, and Russia’s efforts to interfere in foreign elections.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For U.S. and foreign officials as they prepare for the meeting between presidents.
- For President Biden to seek God’s wisdom in his dealings with President Putin.
- For God’s purpose to be accomplished through the G7 summit.
