House minority leader says stakes are “too high” to be distracted.
On Tuesday, Representative Liz Cheney addressed the House of Representatives and expressed her ongoing concerns of a “crusade to undermine our democracy” due to questions that have continued regarding the 2020 presidential election. The Wyoming representative gave her speech one day before her fellow House members voted to remove her as chair of her party’s conference.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy stated of Representative Cheney, “All members are elected to represent their constituents as they see fit.” He continued. “But our leadership team cannot afford to be distracted from the important work we were elected to do and the shared goals we hope to achieve. The stakes are too high to come up short.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to guide party leaders as they consider representatives to fill the vacancy.
- That God’s purpose would be fulfilled as the House of Representatives negotiates legislation.
- For God to heal the divides in our nation.
