He will affirm “unwavering U.S. support.”
The State Department has announced that Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Ukraine May 5th and 6th. He will meet with the Ukrainian president to “reaffirm unwavering U.S. support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression,” the State Department said.
His trip comes in the aftermath of massive Russian military exercises near the Ukrainian border. Russia said it was merely conducting military readiness exercises and said they are partially ending its build up there. It has withdrawn troops but armored vehicles will remain at the border until the fall.
Secretary Blinken will travel to that nation after he attends the G7 Foreign and Development Ministers’ Meeting in London May 3-5.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Blinken as he travels to London and then on to Ukraine next week.
- For U.S. and foreign officials between Russia and Ukraine.
- For diplomatic relations as Russia gives indications of expansionism.
