$487 million allocated for water, energy, and biofuel.
Deputy Under Secretary for Rural Development Justin Maxson announced a major rural infrastructure investment by the USDA on Earth Day last week. $487 million will be put toward updating water pipes in 31 states, building hundreds of miles of new power lines, and creating green energy grants for rural small businesses.
“When we invest in accessible and modern climate-smart infrastructure in rural communities, we invest in rebuilding the middle class by creating good-paying jobs,” Mr. Maxson said. “The investments we are announcing today demonstrate how the Biden-Harris Administration has put rural communities at the heart of climate action and climate-smart solutions.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That the U.S. government’s investments would produce effective and beneficial results.
- For wisdom for the president’s administration as they promote the expansion of green energy projects.
