Will travel to Mexico and Guatemala.
Vice President Harris announced on Wednesday that she would be traveling to Mexico and Guatemala within the next few weeks. This would mark VP Harris’ first overseas trip in office. She is traveling to these countries to better understand the root causes of the current pressures on the Southern U.S. border.
The vice president stated that the nation’s response to an increase of those seeking to enter the United States has historically been a “perpetual system of only dealing with the symptoms.” She said that she hoped her trip would give the president’s administration a better idea of ways to improve the situation.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for the president and vice president as immigration reforms are pursued.
- For President Biden to seek God’s direction as solutions to the influx of migrants are proposed.
- For discernment for the vice president as she meets with leaders in Mexico and Guatemala.
