President’s halt of the leases for climate review being challenged.
A coalition of thirteen states has brought a lawsuit in federal court regarding the president’s halt on new oil and gas leases. Louisiana leads the legal action that seeks to restore normal federal auctions for drilling rights. The state of Wyoming has brought its own suit to a federal court.
“We believe that the president’s actions are illegal and unlawful, and we’re going to hold him accountable for them to try to make sure that the gains that we’ve made over the years to help protect domestic oil and gas and energy continue,” said Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for the federal judiciary that will hear the states’ cases.
- For God’s purpose to be accomplished in the outcome of the oil and gas suits.
