New Project would double the current output.
The Department of the Interior announced on Monday that under President Biden’s administration, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) would resume its research into the expansion of an offshore wind energy power plant. The proposed project would be off the coast of Massachusetts and provide 800-megawatts of power – enough to double the current offshore wind energy output.
Amanda Lefton, the Director of the BOEM, said, “Offshore wind has the potential to help our nation combat climate change, improve resilience through reliable power, and spur economic development to create good-paying jobs. BOEM is committed to conducting a robust and timely review of the proposed project.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would help the Interior Department harness the best sources to get power for the nation.
- For the Lord to guide the president’s administration to preserve the resources of the nation.
- For the BOEM to effectively manage the resources entrusted to it.
