16 have fallen ill, 9 hospitalized.
This past week the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued an investigation notice regarding the multistate outbreak of E. coli. The food source of the outbreak has not yet been identified. So far, sixteen individuals have become ill in five states, with nine of them hospitalized. There has been one death connected to the outbreak.
A release from the health organization said, “CDC is concerned about the growing number of severe illnesses and hospitalizations in this outbreak. If you have E. coli symptoms, talk to your healthcare provider and report your illness to your local health department.”
The CDC published a symptoms list with the alert. Recommendations for washing fruits and vegetables and handwashing were also issued.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the CDC to discover the source of the E. coli outbreak.
- For prevention of the spread of the illness in the American public.
- That God would bring healing to those who have fallen ill.
