In the News…
Among the incoming lawmakers to the House of Representatives is Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina.
“This is the most diverse field of … freshmen we’ve ever had,” he said. “That has nothing to do with tokenism. That has nothing to do with us trying to have affirmative action within our ranks. … It transcends all races and all religions.”
The Generation Z politicians are bringing social freedom and “backbones of steel” to Washington, he said. He added, “We don’t want to force [our conservative values] on anybody else. What we care about is freedom and a limit of government. … We don’t care about what happens in your personal life, so long as it doesn’t hurt somebody else.”
“We are one Republic and I will stand for all Americans,” he told his supporters in a tweet.
