Bipartisan effort hopes for written compromise this week.
To prevent this new stimulus bill from halting in the U.S. Senate yet again, a bipartisan coalition of senators is working carefully to craft its language. “I think we have got the top-line numbers done. We are working right now on language so that we can have – as early as tomorrow – a piece of legislation,” said Senator Mark Warner of Virginia.
Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana also voiced optimism in an interview, estimating that the bill will “probably come out early this week – earlier this week.” The coalition of senators and their aides are working around the clock to ensure that the bill is ironed out before presenting it to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell before Monday of next week.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For U.S. Senators’ efforts to come together for the American people.
- That Senate Leader Mitch McConnell would work to facilitate this effort.
- That the Lord would be present in the drafting rooms as this proposal is finalized.
