Darkness to Light

Adam… was a type of the one who was to come. – Romans 5:14

Adam lived in Paradise, literally. He was the first human son of God created by His own hands. Adam lived in a beautiful world without sin and sorrow. There was not a single need his Heavenly Father had not satisfied. But then the wisdom of the Almighty Creator was attacked by Satan in the Garden of Eden. The battle was lost when Adam surrendered to the enemy’s lies. Now every sin ever committed in history traces back to his one sin in the Garden.

In Adam people die, but in Christ they can be made alive for eternity.

The judgment of God which demands penalty for sin was intercepted by His love. He sent Jesus to Earth as the sacrifice. Christ’s death and resurrection reversed the curse Adam’s sin brought into the world. Now, through accepting His free gift by faith, people can go from death to life. Adam, through his disobedience to God, introduced sin into the world. Jesus Christ, through His obedience to God, paid the penalty for that sin for all who would believe and trust in Him.

If you have received the Lord by faith, He has overcome the darkness you inherited from Adam and made you a child of light. If you have not, ask His forgiveness for your sin and invite Him into your heart right now. Then seek every opportunity to share this good news with others who still live in darkness. The greatest privilege you have is to help others experience the abundant supernatural life on Earth and for eternity in Paradise. Pray that more leaders on Capitol Hill will also invite Him into their lives.

Today’s Verse: Romans 5:14

Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.

21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. 28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.
