U.S. COVID-19 fatalities pass quarter million.
More than 250,000 American lives have reportedly been claimed by the COVID-19 virus, according to the latest estimates from Johns Hopkins University this week. Their data shows that number as greater than any other country in the world, followed by Brazil, India, and Mexico.
The information comes as cases of the coronavirus surge across the country. Texas, California, and Utah lead the nation with the most reported cases.
Two vaccine candidates that have proven efficacious in clinical trials offer hope that the pandemic can be stopped.
