They sang the National Anthem at conclusion of their vast rally.
Tens of thousands of supporters of President Trump gathered in Washington on Saturday for what was billed as the “Million Maga March.” They assembled at Freedom Plaza, a block from the White House, and marched a mile and a half past the United States Capitol to the Supreme Court building. They wore MAGA (Make America Great Again) hats and carried banners that read “Four More Years” or “Stop the Steal,” among others, frequently chanting “USA, USA.” Many others carried American flags.
A Black Lives Matter rally was also being held nearby, and there were some among the Trump supporters who say they were harassed, doused with water, and had their hats and flag snatched and burned, amid cheers. Multiple police lines did all they could to keep the two sides apart.
Toward the end of the day, thousands gathered outside the Willard Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue near the White House and sang together “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump and former Vice President Biden as they await the outcomes of court challenges, recounts, and the ultimate election results delivered by the Electoral College in December.
- For supporters of the candidates on both sides to remain calm and peaceful in the demonstrations, protests, or counterprotests they engage in during the wait for the outcome.
