Part of audit required by new state law.
The Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger decided to audit the presidential race, triggering a recount to ensure that the reported 14,000 difference between President-Elect Joe Biden and President Trump is accurate. The audit teams were sent out on Friday, hand counting batches of paper ballots and presenting write-in votes to bipartisan panels.
Facilities are doing their best to provide for audit teams in light of the coronavirus reality, renting out large, expansive spaces for counters to safely rifle through millions of ballots. Georgia’s elections director Rick Barron estimates that it will likely take about three days to tally the full recount.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the White House as states consider recounts of the election ballots.
- That Georgia would conduct their recount with accuracy.
- That the Lord would preserve the safety of the republic that is this nation.
