Federal government crafts strategies as nation faces highest infection rate of entire pandemic.
With the announcement that major advancements have been made in the search for a viable COVID-19 vaccine, states around the country have begun their efforts of mobilizing healthcare professionals to distribute the cure to the disease. The push could begin as early as December with the most vulnerable receiving aid first.
Dr. Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said that the national rollout would be swift and tactical saying, “the cavalry is coming.” He also anticipated that all Americans would have full access to the vaccine by the spring of 2021. The Department of Health and Human Services has also begun crafting its strategy to make sure the spread of the disease is contained as the nation faces an increase in case numbers.
