Standardized equipment for healthcare workers laid out by the department.
In a press release last week, the Department of Labor announced that it had set new guidelines to protect medical workers in light of new research amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Occupational Safty and Health Administration (OSHA) stated that those working in nursing homes or other long term care facilities should be using the highest rated facemasks moving forward to be in compliance with OSHA.
According to the statement released by the Labor Department, “Healthcare providers who are in close contact with a long term care facility resident with suspected or confirmed coronavirus infection must use a NIOSH-approved N95 filtering facepiece respirator or equivalent or higher-level respirator, as required by OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard.” This guideline sets the national standard for healthcare workers moving forward.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to lead the Labor Department as they provide guidelines to protect American workers.
- That the Trump Administration would be enabled to bring an end to the pandemic.
- For the Lord to give special protection to those in the healthcare service at this time.
