According to the White House on Friday, the President’s Supreme Court Nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, has tested negative for COVID-19 after coming in contact with President Trump. President Trump announced that he and the first lady had tested positive for the disease. The White House also said that Judge Barrett was being tested for COVID-19 daily.
According to the White House, “She is following CDC guidance and best practices, including social distancing, wearing face coverings and frequently washes hands.” According to top Republicans in the Senate, the announcement of President Trump’s illness would not impede the timeline to hold confirmation hearings for Judge Barrett.
