Understand that God is greater than what assails you.
Proverbs 8:13 – The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.
Hate is not usually a word Christians want to associate with themselves, much less with God. But the truth is that God does hate certain things. He lists them so that you might learn what they are and avoid them. Proverbs 6:16-19 lists seven specific things that the Lord hates. Sadly, Americans are routinely doing them all, without caring a whit about God’s opinion. The greater American public mocks God! Many have given themselves over to evil forces, without even realizing it.
Ephesians 6:12 reminds you, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” It is for that reason, God has given you spiritual armor, to stand against this war.
Psalm 97:10 says, “O you who love the Lord, hate evil.” Practice love, preach truth, stay rooted in the Word of God. Let God be your refuge and your fortress. Trust only in Him.

Father in Heaven, Surely You are my refuge. Your faithfulness to e is a shield and a comfort. Your Word reminds me that I do not have to fear for You are always with me. Your Word guides my feet and my pathway is illuminated by Your Holy Spirit. I ask that You will still the anxious thoughts that invade my mind with the reassurance that I am Your child. Thank you for Your abiding love.
