Ceremonies will be held in the Supreme Court and Capitol buildings.
The Supreme Court announced on Monday that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will lay in repose on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Her casket will lay under the court’s portico for the public to pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. A private ceremony that will include family and friends will take place prior to the public viewing.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated that the U.S. Capitol would hold a ceremony for the late Justice, and she would lay in state on Friday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the proceedings “will be open to invited guests only.” The Justice will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery next week in a private ceremony.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would be near to the Ginsburg family during this time of loss.
- For the Lord to lead the nation to unity in the midst of the upcoming political processes.
- For God to reveal Himself to our leaders and remind them that He is in control.
