Findings hold Boeing and FAA accountable.
On Wednesday, the House of Representatives released their findings in the cause of two Boeing 737 Max crashes that claimed the lives of 346 people. The report came after an 18-month long investigation that resulted in the House holding Boeing and the FAA responsible for what amounted to a “horrific culmination” of several factors.
“This is a tragedy that never should have happened,” Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Peter A. DeFazio said. “It could have been prevented, and we’re going to take steps in our legislation to see that it never happens again.” The report highlights Boeing’s overemphasis on profits rather than training and safety.
