This morning President Donald Trump will successively welcome to the White House Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.
The president will meet with each of the leaders before participating in the ceremonial signing of the Abraham Accords with the three foreign ministers in the Rose Garden. Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa is scheduled to attend the signing ceremony. President Trump will then host a working lunch with the three foreign ministers.
Bahrain is an island kingdom in the Middle East that hosts the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, and is a strong ally of the United States.
In the afternoon, President Trump will travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to take part in a televised townhall event.
