Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. – Isaiah 48:18
Flowing, abundant and peaceful – what do these words bring to mind? Can you identify with them as God’s design for your life? In hammering out the day-to-day realities of living it is sometimes hard to stay in the greater and higher calling of your Creator.
Being heir to a blissful eternal life is a privilege that started the moment you placed your faith in His hands. Through His Living Spirit He desires to share daily life with you, helping and directing you. The challenge comes when He leads in a way you would not naturally go. The choice of heeding His leadership is yours.
He will encourage you to love and serve the people around you, but some of them are complicated and difficult, maybe even impossible, to care for without His assistance. He will also challenge you to read His word and learn so you can be confident in knowing His will, but you have to carve out the time in your busy day to quiet your heart, study and pray. There is a bucket full of grace for you when you fail, but the Bible is clear, if you choose to neglect your part in your relationship with God then you cannot expect His highest and best outcomes.
Today, ask God to help you understand and heed His direction in your life. Pray for leaders to rise up in America having the same desire for God’s guidance. Expect flowing and abundant blessing wherever someone is seeking to live His way.

5 For each will have to bear his own load.
6 Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. 7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
