Declaration warns of conspiracy group.
This week a bipartisan group of lawmakers presented a resolution to the House of Representatives condemning the growing conspiracy theory QAnon. This resolution comes a week after the president publically recognized members of the movement who support him and the work that he is doing. Those who adhere to QAnon conspiracies believe that the president was chosen by the military to root out the “deep state” of America.
“Conspiracy theories that falsely blame secret cabals and marginalized groups for the problems of society have long fueled prejudice, violence, and terrorism,” said Representative Tom Malinowski. “It’s time for us to come together across party lines to say that QAnon has no place in our nation’s political discourse.”
