Over $19 million in narcotics seized.
President Trump’s administration announced on Monday the results of the efforts of the Interior Department’s crackdown on illegal substances. In 2019 the Interior’s Joint Opioid Reduction Task Force conducted 14 operations in seven states that resulted in the arrests of 313 individuals and the seizure of 2,607 pounds of narcotics. The estimated value of the drugs was $19.6 million.
According to Secretary Bernhardt, “Our Bureau of Indian Affairs officers successfully stopped thousands of pounds of deadly narcotics from reaching tribal communities last year, and they continue to serve with distinction every day. In a time when people are calling to defund the police, the Trump administration is doing more to protect our citizens from illicit drugs and violence.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would help citizens struggling with drug addiction
- For the president’s administration to be led by the Lord to preserve the health and safety of Americans.
- For God to lead the Interior Department to effectively manage Indian held lands.
