Calls for unity amid pandemic.
On Tuesday night, Melania Trump made history by being the only first lady to deliver a political convention speech from the White House Rose Garden. During her remarks, she delivered a direct message of sorrow and condolences to all those who lost someone due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, reminding them that they are “not alone.”
The first lady went on to say, “My husband’s administration will not stop fighting until there is an effective treatment or vaccine available to everyone.” She also stated, “Donald will not rest until he has done all he can to take care of everyone impacted by this terrible pandemic.” She made one last appeal for the president by explaining that nothing would make him lose sight of his service to America.
