Will remain in quarantine for two weeks.
In a statement released last week Thursday, the office of Senator Bill Cassidy informed the public that Senator Cassidy had tested positive for COVID-19. After taking a test following contact with someone who had a confirmed case, Senator Cassidy took a precautionary test as well. He is currently asymptomatic.
In a statement, he said, “I am strictly following the direction of our medical experts and strongly encourage others to do the same.” Senator Cassidy will remain in quarantine for 14 days according to CDC standards. He has also begun the process of notifying those who he had come in contact with prior to being tested.
