Johnson & Johnson plans test on 60,000 people.
Tests on its experimental coronavirus vaccine in a late-stage trial are scheduled to start in September with Johnson & Johnson planning to test up to 60,000 volunteers.
The trial would be conducted in nearly 180 sites across the U.S. and other countries including Brazil and Mexico.
A company spokesman said they want “to enroll a robust number of participants who are representative of those populations affected by COVID-19,” and to determine the safety, efficacy, durability, and optimal testing regimens of the new vaccine.
Other coronavirus vaccine makers such as Moderna and Pfizer are targeting recruitment of up to 30,000 volunteers for their late-stage studies.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the volunteers who are stepping up to receive the trial vaccines against the coronavirus.
- For the Food and Drug Administration to have wisdom as they consider approvals for COVID-19 vaccines.
