Holds campaign event and speaks to voters in the Scranton area.
On Thursday, President Trump took part in campaign event in the town of Old Forge, Pennsylvania. He spoke of the economy and employment that was soaring prior to the pandemic and talked about what the administration is doing to protect jobs and cut unnecessary federal regulations.
In addition, the president promised to resist the Green New Deal as it would hurt the energy industry of the state. Bradford County Commissioner Doug McLinko said, “If the new green deal goes through, it will not only crush America, it’s going to crush Northeastern PA and all of PA actually.”
Before his departure, the president’s motorcade placed an order and made a brief stop at a popular local restaurant for Old Forge-style pizza. The manager said, “He just came in. He said he was happy to be here and he heard we had the best pizza and he congratulated us.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to guide President Trump in the best way to lead the country while campaigning.
- For the president to have safe travels as he campaigns for reelection.
- That the Secret Service would effectively protect the president.
