First commercial American manned flight successful.
On Sunday, two NASA astronauts safely splashed down off the coast of Pensacola, Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. The landing marked the first successful manned mission where NASA used a private company to build the ship–marking a new era of space exploration for the United States. SpaceX, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, is set to build the craft that will take humanity back to the moon and eventually to Mars.
The successful journey also marks the first ships able to be launched from the U.S. since the space shuttle program. NASA was renting space on Russian spaceships to go to the International Space Station. “This was a great day for NASA and a great day for the United States of America,” said NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would be with astronauts who are preparing for future launches.
- For NASA to have a clear path to the scientific advancement for humanity.
- That Administrator Bridenstine would be given wisdom on how to lead NASA.
