Funding for expanded unemployment and housing relief ends on Friday.
Monday kicked off negotiations between members of Congress as discussions took place about the next round of COVID-19 aid to a struggling country. Details of a roughly $1 trillion Senate bill were released Monday evening. The proposal would extend the Paycheck Protection Program to areas of small business previously ineligible for relief.
This coming Friday, the first round of COVID-19 provisions will run out, including expanded unemployment payments, and an eviction memorandum. The House of Representatives has already passed a $3 trillion aid bill, but it has not been taken up in the Senate.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would lead the House of Representatives to pass the best laws for the country.
- For the Senate to have wisdom on the best bills to take up and pass.
- That Congress would work with the White House to bring relief to Americans.
