$2 million set aside for the continued operation of New York site.
The president’s administration announced on Saturday that it would be providing the Department of the Interior an award of $2 million from the 9/11 Memorial Act grant to fund the national memorial that is in New York City. The funding comes roughly one year before the 20th anniversary of the terror attacks and will provide continued support for the cost of operating and securing the site.
“We all remember where we were on September 11, 2001 – a day in American history where the world seemed to stand still,” said U.S. Secretary of the Interior David L. Bernhardt. “This funding will provide critical support for the memorial, so current and future generations can visit and reflect on the events that transformed our nation.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to use the Interior Department to help the nation remember its history.
- That President Trump would continue to support those whose lives were affected by the attack.
- For God to help the nation heal from its past wounds.
