Begins chemo just a few days after she was hospitalized for infection.
Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, was hospitalized for gall stones and an infection early last week. Days after her discharge from the hospital, Justice Ginsburg announced resuming treatment for cancer of her liver, for which she received chemotherapy earlier this year.
Justice Ginsburg has experienced many health challenges in recent years, including colorectal, pancreatic and lung cancers. The justice said she will be able to maintain an “active daily routine” despite her bi-weekly chemotherapy. “I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam,” said Justice Ginsburg. “I remain fully able to do that.”
