Arizona, Florida, and Texas issue mandates for facemasks.
Dr. Fauci expressed concern regarding the 51,200 new confirmed U.S. COVID-19 cases late last week. With the increased rates of testing across the country, 40 out of 50 states saw an uptick in confirmed cases, with infection rates more than doubling over the past two weeks.
The rate of infection in Texas has grown from 8% to 14.5% percent since Monday of last week, causing Governor Greg Abbott to intervene in ways he had previously deemed unnecessary. He implemented a mask order late in the week, requiring “all Texans to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth in public spaces in counties with 20 or more positive COVID-19 cases”.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the preservation of the elderly during these surges of infection.
- For wisdom for President Trump as he leads the nation through challenging times.
- For the Coronavirus Task Force as they continue to work toward recovery from the pandemic.
