Today, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will travel to Keystone, South Dakota for an Independence Day fireworks celebration at Mount Rushmore.
Governor Kristi Noem will join the president and first lady in the Black Hills for the first pyrotechnic display in 10 years. A crowd of 7,500 is expected to attend the event. Social distancing and masks will not be required.
“We will have a large event July 3rd; we told those folks that have concerns that they can stay home,” said Governor Noem. “But for those who want to come and join us, we’ll be giving out free face masks if they choose to wear one, but we won’t be social distancing.”
