Today, President Donald Trump will speak at the Spirit of America Showcase in the Grand Foyer of the White House.
On Wednesday, the U.S. Commerce Department reported a recovery of over 15% in manufacturing for the month of June. Thirteen of the 18 manufacturing industries tracked experienced growth as the nation reopened after the pandemic lockdowns.
Also on that day, the USMCA trade agreement went into effect. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said, “This ground-breaking trade agreement couldn’t come at a better time. It fortifies the world’s largest trading block, and it provides American companies with a level playing field on our own continent.”
As the United States continues to emerge from its state of crisis, the president will celebrate the accomplishments of the people and industries who have worked together to weather the storm and keep the nation running.
