Today, President Donald Trump is traveling to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to take part in several campaign events. He will be speaking to attendees of the main event at the Bank of Oklahoma Center. Ahead of the event, Chief Operating Officer of the president’s campaign Michael Glassner said that there was no better place than “America’s Heartland” to celebrate the reopening of the economy. “President Trump is fired up and ready to rebuild, restore, and renew the American Dream,” he added.
In an official statement, Glassner continued, “All over the country, millions of workers are gradually returning to their normal lives as America continues to quickly recover from the devastating COVID-19 pandemic. As the Trump administration made clear in recent weeks, many states have successfully managed to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, safely reopen their economies and are already contributing to what is shaping up to be the greatest economic comeback this country has ever seen.”
The president will return to the White House in the evening.
