President Donald Trump will announce the PREVENTS Task Force Roadmap in the Rose Garden at the White House this afternoon. Ahead of the event, the Department of Veteran Affairs published the official statement saying, “The President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide (PREVENTS) will focus on a holistic public health approach to suicide prevention. PREVENTS seeks to change the culture surrounding mental health and suicide prevention through enhanced community integration, prioritized research activities, and implementation strategies that emphasize improved overall health and well-being.”
Today’s roadmap announcement comes following the president’s executive order in May which established the task force. The president said at May’s signing, “To every veteran I want you to know that you have an entire nation of more than 300 million people behind you, you will never ever be forgotten.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For guidance for the president as he sets policy to help the nation’s veterans.
- For the president’s task force as thy work to provide care and aid to American’s veterans in need.
- For healing, grace, and peace for the nation’s veterans who have sacrificed of themselves to fight for the freedom of the nation’s citizens.
