Assistant Secretary Petty will help states prepare for droughts.
The Department of the Interior announced last week that Assistant Secretary for Water and Science Timothy Petty had been named the new co-chair of the National Drought Resilience Partnership (NDRP). This collective focuses on the roles that state and local governments play to ensure that they are ready for periods of droughts in their geographic area.
Assistant Secretary Petty said of the partnership, “This interagency task force has an incredible opportunity to coordinate Federal drought resilience policies, programs, research, forecasting, data, and technology to enhance community drought preparedness and response. The NDRP members represent the full spectrum of science, water management, and disaster response.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would use Assistant Secretary Petty to effectively lead the NDRP.
- For Interior Secretary Bernhardt to be used by God to preserve access to clean water to all Americans.
- That God would use the Interior Department to be good stewards of His creation.
