Today, President Donald Trump will travel to Guilford, Maine. He will tour Puritan Medical Products and deliver remarks at the factory.
Puritan Medical Products is one of the two largest manufacturers of medical swabs in the world. The rapid diagnostic swabs they produce are being used to test for COVID-19. The facility has a microbiology lab for research and development, with testing and approval of products on site. The company is constructing another plant in Pittsfield, Maine.
“We manufacture products that no one else makes, use technology and innovative solutions that no one else has, and manage the entire flow of all our raw materials through the supply chain,” said Timothy Templet, Executive VP of Global Sales for Puritan Medical Products.
