Today, President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are planning to return to Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Due to inclement weather on Wednesday, the historic SpaceX launch, meant to carry astronauts from U.S. soil for the first time since 2011, was halted shortly before liftoff. The commercial launch was rescheduled for Saturday.
NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said that launch was a go for today, but due to the dynamic weather front, the team would continue to monitor any and all changes as the day progresses. He added that delaying the launch again is a realistic possibility and that “We cannot forget this is a test flight… we will go when everything is as safe as we can possibly make it.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For guidance for the president and vice president as they make decisions to shape the American space industry.
- For clarity for all NASA personnel as they make decisions to keep the astronauts safe.
- For calm and peace for the families and loved ones of the astronauts as they take this risk.
