President Donald Trump is traveling to Ypsilanti, Michigan, today. He will tour the Ford Rawsonville Components Plant and deliver remarks there this afternoon. He is expected to speak about the collaboration between GE Healthcare and Ford.
The repurposed motor plant is making ventilators during the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the Defense Production Act, the U.S. has produced a surplus of these machines, some of which will be shipped to help other nations.
“Ford and the [United Auto Workers] are doing incredible work for the country, and their ingenuity will save lives,” Governor Whitmer’s communications director, Zack Pohl, said in a statement.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For safe travels for President Trump to and from Michigan.
- For the efforts of the manufacturers to provide necessary medical equipment.
- For wisdom for the president as he continues to formulate responses to the pandemic.
