President Donald Trump will be traveling to Allentown, Pennsylvania, today. He will speak at the Owen & Minor, Inc. medical equipment distribution center in Upper Macungie Township.
Owen & Minor, Inc, is a member of the White House COVID-19 Supply Chain Stabilization Task Force. The company’s CEO, Ed Pesicka, spoke during a Coronavirus Task Force briefing at the White House in late March. The extensive distribution network of the organization allows them to deliver the goods they manufacture to healthcare providers scross the U.S. in a matter of hours.
The company has provided N95 masks, medical gowns, and other products during the pandemic in collaboration with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. They shipped over 2 billion units of personal protective equipment in February and March.
