HUD Secretary announces the allocation of funds to assist low-income Americans.
Over half a million dollars was made available to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development by President Trump’s CARES Act. On Friday, Secretary Ben Carson announced that those funds would be given to Public Housing Authorities to protect their residents and staff. The assistance will provide personal protective equipment, child care, costs to travel to testing, and other pandemic related actions.
Hunter Kurtz, Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing, gave the announcement along with Secretary Carson, emphasizing the importance of those funds. “Ensuring housing is one of the easiest ways to combat the virus, and this funding will assist PHAs with that mission.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump as he guides the financial allocation of his CARES Act.
- That Secretary Ben Carson would be perceptive and understanding as he works to bolster Public Housing.
- That families with limited means and few options would be granted the Lord’s protection during this outbreak.
